Shockwave Pinball Game, May 1999

Created for MTV's release of the single and music video "Girlfriend / Boyfriend" by Blackstreet, from the album "Finally."

Programmed by David Dantowitz for InterActions Media. From start to release, the game was completed in 6 weeks, and included a high score module for a web server (total project: 80 hours).

Features a custom physics engine created from scratch for this game (recall that CPUs at that time were in the 250-400 Mhz range, so performance was a big factor). The entire game is 400Kb (about 1/20 the size of the song if downloaded from iTunes). Art by Stanton Interactive.

The game has a few rough edges (a bug or two in the model) due to the tight schedule, but the art director was thrilled with the game play -- software with a deadline: the release date for the music video.

Mac Users: Use FireFox
Note, to run with Safari in Snow Leopard (if you don't see the game), you must locate Safari in the Finder, use Command-I (Get Info) and enable "Open in 32-bit mode". (Firefox loads fine.)
